Danielle and Leif

All I can say is…WOW…what a beautiful couple. I had the extreme pleasure of being part of Leif and Danielle’s special day. It started out a little sketchy with the weather threatening to dampen the mood but that all changed for the better and turned out woderful. Then we had a pre planned trip to the railroad tracks in Cashmere with the Groom and his men. That was put to a stop when Burlington Northern personnel ran us out of the area, even though we were on an abandoned line! Plan B? Note to self, have a Plan B. We quickly thought of an alternate location not too far away and off we went. The rest of the day went off without a hitch, sort of, Leif and Danielle, they got hitched.

Sue and I recently returned from a trip to Zion National Park in Utah. What an incredible place. Here is a short slideshow of the Park and a few shots from Snow Canyon (unknown to many of the locals) just north of where we stayed in St. George. The slideshow quality does not do justice to the beauty of the park, image quality is reduced for internet purposes. To see larger slideshow images, click the gallery link below -Bill-

Another outstanding weekend of snowmobile and Snowbike madness. A little rain on Saturday did little to dampen the thrills and spills that always go along with this great event. Joe Parsons added to the excitement with the absolute best freestyle show I have ever seen. The sun made periodic appearances during the day on Saturday and when Joe was ready to dazzle the crowd, the clouds parted and the sun came thru as if it were planned that way. Sunday started out with a little fog but that gave way to bright sunny skies and incredible scenery from the top of the hillclimb event. I’m looking forward to next year already!

Legends Harley Davidson of Wenatchee hosted a Garage Party and invited women of the area to attend and participate in a Women’s Night (although a few guys snuck in) and get some special instruction on just how to step up and take control rather than just being a passenger. Chrissie and all the staff at Legends did a super job, providing food and beverage along with stations to demonstrate different aspects of the whole Harley experience. In the end we took some individual shots of some of the ladies (and gents) on a really cool ride. Photos are online, click the image below.

What a great weekend for racing. A little more snow would have been nice but considering how the year has gone, it was just good to finally have a race. Because the point system required this to be two races, pictures will be posted as two separate races. Friday is posted as a race, Saturday and Sunday are combined and posted as a second race. All pictures are online.

I thought this machine was bad BEFORE I put tracks on it. Well, last night I found out how bad it really is with a fresh snowfall of 4 inches of heavy wet snow. With tires, it used to cause the machine to spin and I would need to take smaller “bites” in each pass so I would not lose traction when the blade loaded up with snow. Not the case anymore! I couldn’t stop it. Plus the ability to push the snow into higher piles makes a huge difference now for snow storage. I can climb to the top of the pile instead of the front sinking in as it does with tires.

It was time to update the site, in part since it has become increasingly difficult to add new content to the old site. I won’t bore you with the details, just suffice to say it was old technology and required attention.
You will find links to galleries from past years which look and act exactly the same as before. This homepage (blog) is where I can keep current projects in the forefront. The pages all have search capability of the content within the site. The content searched on is limited to the text that is published in the website pages.
I hope you find the new site easier to navigate. The site also features the ability to comment on posts or page content. Thank you for stopping by and looking around.

To Raffle or Not To Raffle…Not
December 22, 2009 | Category: Uncategorized | Comments Off
I was asked to photograph this beautiful bike for a fund raiser. The original intent was to raffle it off as a fundraising item. What a great idea…unfortunately the raffle did not materialize. I got some great shots of the bike though and had fun setting up and working the lighting. The bike is no longer in Wenatchee, I think it went over to the Seattle area. Someone has a sweet ride!
